Finally a trip to the mountains!
WE finally took advantage of one of our few free days! We were so Thankful for Columbus day yesterday! Koen was even actually feeling pretty well the last two days he's been more he's normal self. Probably has alot to do with the fact that he hasn't had any hard chemo treatments for four weeks now. That's sadly going to end on Thursday his fourth round of chemo is schedule to start. Bitter-Sweet, this means after this round we'll only have two more rounds and be cancer free and also have surgery after this round to get rid of the tumor. But it also means he's going to be in pain, nausea, crabby and just down right not feeling well.
We've been wanting to take a drive upto the AMAZING rocky mountains and just take in everything they have to offer. It's just so refreshing! We got so excited too cause they have a coating of snow on them which means ski season! YES! Kaitin absolutely LOVE the mountains and snow! Koen loved them too but wasn't to crazy about the coldness and poor poor Gavin (being the one that has the most chuck on him) was still the coldest of us all. So at the top of Loveland pass 12,000 feet he was pretty sure he was going to freeze to death! Poor little guy is seriously going to have to get used this weather! We also took Kaitin back to Vail, where he was born. It was fun to be back there, it felt very safe and homey!
All in all it was a GREAT day! A GREAT way to end a good weekend and give us the strength and Patience to take on the rest of the journy ahead of us!
