Relaxing Sunday

Man did our weekend go way to fast! We had planned on going to a pumpkin patch but then decided we were to tired for it. So we just hung out, rode the gator, enjoyed each other, did alittle costume shopping, and took some good naps! Last year for Halloween we had a theme for the boys costumes. Kaitin and Koen were firemen and Gavin was their Dalmatian puppy! This year I figured we would have a theme too. Kaitin is going to be woody, Gavin is Buzz and Koen is going to be the shark! They are so excited for trick or treating and all the fun were going to have. Kaitin and Gavin thought they would try on their costumes last night. Their not complete yet but they didn't care! Then once they got them they wanted to keep ringing the door bell and when I would open the door they would yell BOO and just laugh and laugh!

Round 4

Koen finally started his round four of chemo on Thursday! He did so well! Still didn't sleep the greatest, I think it has something to do with the all the times the nurses like to poke at him all through the night. But he only threw up twice while at the hospital and then only once since we got home. I think the two times he did throw up were cause he was due for his medicine and the nurse was having to do some weird stuff to his port to try and draw some blood from it. But overall so much better than the last 3 times! The hospital he is being treated in and pretty AMAZING! The first two picture you can kinda tell how very kid friendly it is!

THE MOST AWESOMENESS PARK!

This is our view while playing at our park!

Kaitin thought he had to take a picture of the most AWESOMENESS slide also!

He's really getting his strength back!

And climbed up this thing NO problem tons of times!

Don't you just LOVE this face!

We got so Lucky the day before Koen went back into the hospital and got some GREAT weather. So we took advantage of it and went to the park! They just LOVE their park and think it's THE MOST AWESOMENESS (Kaitin's words) that they've ever had. As you can see Koen is just doing GREAT and had tons of energy to play and climb.

Finally a trip to the mountains!

WE finally took advantage of one of our few free days! We were so Thankful for Columbus day yesterday! Koen was even actually feeling pretty well the last two days he's been more he's normal self. Probably has alot to do with the fact that he hasn't had any hard chemo treatments for four weeks now. That's sadly going to end on Thursday his fourth round of chemo is schedule to start. Bitter-Sweet, this means after this round we'll only have two more rounds and be cancer free and also have surgery after this round to get rid of the tumor. But it also means he's going to be in pain, nausea, crabby and just down right not feeling well.

We've been wanting to take a drive upto the AMAZING rocky mountains and just take in everything they have to offer. It's just so refreshing! We got so excited too cause they have a coating of snow on them which means ski season! YES! Kaitin absolutely LOVE the mountains and snow! Koen loved them too but wasn't to crazy about the coldness and poor poor Gavin (being the one that has the most chuck on him) was still the coldest of us all. So at the top of Loveland pass 12,000 feet he was pretty sure he was going to freeze to death! Poor little guy is seriously going to have to get used this weather! We also took Kaitin back to Vail, where he was born. It was fun to be back there, it felt very safe and homey!

All in all it was a GREAT day! A GREAT way to end a good weekend and give us the strength and Patience to take on the rest of the journy ahead of us!

Husker fans are the BEST!

Something we've all been enjoying is supporting our Huskers!

Grant and I are super excited for the Colorado/Nebraska game! It's the day after Thanksgiving and we got tickets! Ever since I've met Grant he has said that the next Husker game he goes too, that he is going to go shirtless and paint his chest! I keep reminding him of this, but I'm pretty sure he's going to chicken out cause it's going to be one cold game.

Denver Aquarium

We were able to see Grant's dad for a couple of days. He was in town to speak at a conference for work! The boys LOVED being able to see him! We all LOVE and MISS you tons, come and see us again soon! We went to the Denver Aquarium for one of the days!

For dinner we went out for Thai, YUMMY!

Kaitin thought he would try his hand at CHOP STICKS!

But Koen thought this was easier!
